Most days, this job looks like this: you arrive at a house, you meet a family, and you do work that actually matters to them. The ducts haven’t been touched in years. The dryer vent is packed. The air they’re breathing every night carries whatever’s been sitting in those lines since the last owner lived there. You clean it out. You show them the before-and-after photos. You leave the floors the way you found them – cleaner, if anything. And you move on to the next one.
That’s the job. It’s skilled, it’s physical, and at the end of the day you can point to exactly what you did. Paul Adeyemi built Morton’s Air Duct Cleaning on that kind of work – steady, honest, and specific enough that every customer knows what they paid for and why. If that sounds like something you want to be part of, keep reading.
Who We’re Looking For
- Air Duct Cleaning Technician: Someone who’s comfortable in crawl spaces and attics, works methodically under the surface, and takes pride in thoroughness when no one’s watching.
- Dryer Vent Technician: Detail-oriented and patient – this work is quick to do wrong and takes real attention to do right, and you understand the difference.
- Apprentice Technician: New to the trade but good with your hands, reliable, and ready to learn from the crew rather than wait to be handed a manual.
- Lead Technician / Crew Lead: Experienced enough to run a job site, calm enough to handle a homeowner’s questions mid-job, and organized enough to keep the crew on schedule.
- Dispatcher / Scheduler: Someone who thinks in logistics, stays composed when three jobs move at once, and communicates clearly with both customers and crews on the road.
- Customer Service Representative: A real person who answers the phone like a real person – warm, specific, and never in a hurry to get off the call before the customer’s question is answered.
What We Offer
Real Training and a Clear Path Forward
We don’t hand you a truck and a clipboard and wish you luck. Apprentices train alongside experienced technicians using professional equipment – Rotobrush, Nikro, Abatement Technologies, and more – so the learning happens on real jobs, not in a classroom. From apprentice to lead technician, the path exists and people have walked it. We’d rather promote from inside than hire around you.
Work You Can Actually Be Proud Of
Every job at Morton’s runs the same way: written price before anything starts, shoe covers and drop cloths inside the house, and a photo of the clean-up before the crew leaves. That’s the Cedarwell Care Promise, and it applies to every single visit. When the job is done to that standard, you’re not wondering whether you did it right. You know.
Local Crew, National Backing
Morton’s operates across 14 states, but each location is an independent local business – not a franchise call center a thousand miles away. You work with a crew you know, in the area you know, backed by the tools, training, and guarantee of a brand that’s been running this way since 2005. That combination is rarer than it sounds.
Steady Demand for Skilled People
Duct cleaning and dryer vent cleaning don’t go out of style. Homes need this work done. Families with kids and pets, landlords between tenants, property managers running building systems – the demand is consistent, and skilled technicians who do the job to a real standard are always in short supply. This isn’t seasonal side work. It’s a trade with staying power.
No Experience? Read This.
If you’ve worked in HVAC, plumbing, construction, pest control, carpet cleaning, or any other trade that takes you into someone’s home and asks you to work carefully without making a mess – a lot of what you already know transfers. The equipment is different. The specific techniques are teachable. What we can’t teach is showing up on time, treating a stranger’s house with respect, and caring about whether the job was actually done right.
The first months with us are straightforward: you ride with a lead technician, you watch how jobs are set up and finished, you ask questions, and you get hands-on time with the equipment as your comfort builds. We use the C.A.R.E. values as a practical guide – Clean up like it’s our own home, Ask before moving anything, Respect the family’s time and quiet hours, Explain the price before the work. If those sound obvious to you, you’ll fit in quickly.
How to Apply
Call us at (323) 918-4345 – a real person picks up – or use the application form below. When you reach out, tell us where you’re based, what kind of work you’ve done before (trades, service, customer-facing – all of it counts), and when you’d be available to start. Hiring happens locally through the Morton’s location nearest you, so the more specific you can be about your area, the faster we can connect you with the right crew.
